We believe in one God, as He has revealed Himself in the Scriptures. “Hear, O Israel, the Lord is One.” Deuteronomy 6:4. We believe that the intended meaning of the word “one” is found in the original Hebrew text, which used the word “echad” and it means “a composite unity”. We believe in the one living and true God, perfect in wisdom, sovereignty, holiness, justice, mercy, and love (I Timothy 1:17; Psalm 86:15; Deuteronomy 32:3-4). He reveals himself as three, God the father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, who act together in creation, providence, and redemption. The Holy Spirit is given to mankind upon repentance and baptism (Acts 2:38; Genesis 1:26; Luke 3: 21-22; I Peter 1:2; Hebrews 1:1-3).
We believe that the Bible, both the Old Testament and the New Testament, is the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. We believe that Scripture, is God’s revelation, and His complete, expressed will to humanity. We believe that the entire Bible is a revelation of the righteousness of God and the description of the lifestyle of the redeemed community. Holiness and obedience to His Word to be God’s standard of living for His people (Matthew 5:17-19; II Timothy 3:16-17) Scripture is inspired in thought and word, infallible in the original writings, is the supreme and final authority in faith and in life and is the foundation of all truth (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; John 10:35; 17:17).
We believe that Satan is a spirit being who is the adversary of God and the children of God. Satan has been given dominion over the world for a specific period of time. Satan has ruled by deception with the aid of a host of demons who are rebellious angels, spirit beings, who followed Satan in his rebellion (Ezekiel 28 v 11 -17; Isiaah 14 v 12 – 15; Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 8:12; 2 Timothy 2:26; John 12:31; 16:11; Revelation 12:4, 9; 20:1-3, 7, 10; Leviticus 16:21-22; 2 Corinthians 4:4; 11:14; Ephesians 2:2).
We believe that all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) We believe that sin is the transgression of the law. The law is spiritual, perfect, holy, just and good. The law defines God’s love and is based upon the two great principles of love toward God and love toward neighbor. The Ten Commandments are the ten points of God’s law of love. (1 John 3:4; 5:3; Matthew 5:17-19; 19:17-19; 22:37-40; James 2:10-11; Romans 2:5-9; 7:12-14; 13:8-10).
We believe that Jesus’ death and resurrection accomplished the atonement for all who would place their faith in Him. Whoever trusts in God, in His work alone, is made a new creation in Messiah, indwelt by the Spirit of God, and is transferred from the kingdom of darkness, into the kingdom of His own Son. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5 & 6)
We believe salvation is by faith through the grace of God alone, and not by human efforts. One may not earn, merit, or keep this eternal salvation by his own efforts. A new creation is the work of God alone. (Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 8 v 16 -39)
We believe in the spiritual unity and equality of all believers in Jesus the Messiah. (Ephesians 2:11-22) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the church: Baptism and Communion (Passover) (1 Cor 11:24 – 26; Luke 22 v 18-20)
We believe that everyone who trusts in Jesus is grafted into the “olive tree”, and while this does not make them Jewish, they are granted the privilege of having God’s Word, written upon their hearts, as participants of the New Covenant. (Romans 11:11-24; Jeremiah 31:33)
We believe in the continuity of God’s covenants with and promises to the physical people of Israel according to Jeremiah 31:35-36 and parallel passages. Part of the fulfillment of these covenants is the physical return of the people of Israel, to their land (Deuteronomy 30). We like the disciples – have the same hope of the Return of Jesus and the setting up of His Kingdom to rule the earth and all the promises of world peace and prosperity. (Daniel 2 v 44; Luke 1 v 33: Isaiah 9 v 6-7; Isaiah 11 v 6-9; Isaiah 2 v 2 – 4, Isaiah 35 v 3-9 )
This is surely not complete or thorough but we hope it will give you the theological flavor of our heart.
“In essentials—unity, In peripherals—freedom, In all things—love.”
