A Method of Prayer
Practical Teaching on Prayer by
Matthew Henry
A Method of Prayer is a world-renowned Christian classic written by Puritan writer Henry Matthews. It’s a Bible-based prayer book designed to be a Bible companion and reference aid for daily devotions. It has been newly translated from the 1710 originals into a classic prayer-book style with large margins and all of Henry’s original cross-references.
This work is nearly completely composed of Scripture, which has been organized under numerous themes to assist Christians in praying following the truth given in God’s Word. Featuring a collection of approximately seven hundred devotional prayers, a poetic setting of Psalm 119, and a Daily Bible reading plan, Matthews’ A Method of Prayer is recognized as religious literature that shaped Christianity.
It is sent forth with the hope that God would continue to honor his own Word, even as it is redirected back to him in the form of earnest prayer.
