A Method of Prayer

Prayer Instruction  by
Matthew Henry

Written nearly 300 years ago, Matthew Henry was a beloved commentator on the scripture who began preaching at the age of twenty-three and spent most of his life as a pastor of a church in Chester. A method of Prayer is a fruit of the efforts put in by Dr. Duncan and others who contributed through multiple editions and revisions. Matthew was a man of prayer and a diligent student of the Word. His interest in prayer grew after his recovery from a terminal illness at the age of ten resulting in his labors marked by wisdom that can only be attained a man who is habitual and dependent upon the Almighty. Considering the weak foundations of praying in the church of today, this book is an attempt to assist and inspire modern Christians towards understanding the language of praying, developed for both, groups and individuals, in private and public.
