A Living Sacrifice

Christian Life  by
Watchman Nee

A Chinese author and church leader, Nee founded The Church Assembly Hall that was commonly known as ‘Local churches’ or ‘assembly hall’. Born in a Methodist household, Watchman Nee was greatly influenced by the Christian writings and teachings of the British Missionary, M. E. Barber. As Nee never attended any theological schools or Bible institutes, hence his knowledge was acquired by reading Christian spiritual books and Bible. Nee was a notable figure, he travelled throughout China holding conferences and training. This book distils his teachings from a series of basic lessons on the practicality of religion and a devoted Christian life. Drawing inspiration from Nee’s words, the book explores the meaning of spirituality through scripture. The author also encourages his readers to ask themselves the necessary questions about how much they have lived experiences by integrating religion in their living while laying themselves as sacrifices on the altar for God.

Normal Christian Life

Christian Life  by
Watchman Nee

Sold over 1 million copies and available in multiple editions and languages, The Normal Christian Life is regarded by many as an introduction of Watchman Nee to the Western communities. In the book, Watchman presents principles that form the foundation of the Christian life, drawing from Roman books. Classic Christian literature, this book is enduring as it narrates Watchman Nee’s accounts, anecdotes and illustrations, combining them with his exposition of Romans. The book unfolds the path of Christ in daily life, faith and the eternal purpose of God in a straightforward and minimalistic manner. The author unveils the secrets hidden in spiritual strengths, power in the experiences of every Christian and insights on the resurrection of Christ. Drawing inspiration from the New Testament of Romans, Watchman Nee progressively moves along; starting from the concept of a self-contained unit, sin and blood, and focusing on the Cross towards the end.

Way of Salvation

Christian Life  by
Charles Finney

The sermons of President Finney are equally relevant today as they were when first published sixty years ago. A continued interest in the Christians worldwide testifies the vigor of Finney’s reasoning and his graceful expression. A prominent figure, Finney was a master interpreter and a passionate preacher of the Gospel who moved his audience with his guidance and declarations of the truth. Finney’s expression is clear as is his work – both being the conceptions of the profound truth about the justice of God and the folly of sin. Finney’s work is inspirational; it has encouraged his listeners and readers to reconcile with the Lord and Savior. The majority of the sermons curated in this volume as vivid as their memory of being first spoken by Finney, except the medium as mere pages and ink cannot fully capture the power of these sermons and standing in the presence of the preacher.

The Lord’s Table

Christian Life  by
Andrew Murray

The Lord’s Table by Andrew Murray is a two-week devotional divided into three parts that aim to strengthen believers’ appreciation of God’s word. One week before the Lord’s Supper, the first section prepares our hearts. Murray discusses partaking during Communion in the second part. After the Sabbath, the third portion takes us to another week of thought. Murray adds to our understanding of the beauty and power of sharing the Lord’s Supper. To uncover the power of Communion, he encourages us to ponder on and apply each portion to our life, rather than simply reading and understanding it. This book is an excellent resource for individuals who want to grow in their faith through receiving Communion. Murray compassionately encourages us to meditate on a deeper level of satisfaction than simply accepting the bread and wine on the surface.

Working for God

Christian Life  by
Andrew Murray

Working for God by Andrew Murray is an in-depth book that yields new and essential insights. It defines working and waiting for God in a great, very deep, and practical way. Murray provides scriptural passages to go along with each statement and meditation. Its central idea is to remind all Christian employees of the importance and splendor of the labor to which God contributes. It is nothing less than the act of reconciling men to their Creator, which brings God the greatest glory and blessing. As we recognize that it is God’s own work that we must complete, that He does so through us, and that in doing so, His glory rests on us and we exalt Him, we will rejoice to devote our lives solely and entirely to it.

Like Christ

Christian Life  by
Andrew Murray

Like Christ is a devotional sequel to Abide in Christ. In his preface, noted missionary leader Andrew Murray mentions two goals in mind when writing the book.
The first goal is to show how we mirror His image in the hardships and responsibilities of daily life. The second goal is to demonstrate how, for believers, similarity to Christ is more than an ideal but a reality.
Straightforward and keen, Like Christ cuts through the misconceptions that cloud Christians’ understanding. Being like Christ is only possible abiding in Him, not through any meritorious actions but being conscious of our holy duty in fulfilling His will are all examples of Christ-likeness. We will rely on the Father as Christ did, love, pray, and use Scripture as He did, be humble, die, and rise again as He did, all the while glorifying His Father.

Indwelling of the Master

Christian Life  by
Andrew Murray

Indwelling of the Master states that we often hear about the compromised life and the question comes up What lies at the root of it? What is the reason that so many Christians are wasting their lives in the terrible bondage of the world instead of living in the manifestation and the privilege and the glory of the child of God? And another question perhaps comes to us: What can be the reason that when we see a thing is wrong and strive against it we cannot conquer it?

Deeper Christian Life

Christian Life  by
Andrew Murray

Deeper Christian Life explores that the first and chief need of our Christian life is, Fellowship with God. The Divine life within us comes from God, and is entirely dependent upon Him. As I need every moment afresh the air to breathe, as the Sun every moment afresh sends down its light, so it is only in direct living communication with God that my soul can be strong.
The manna of one day was corrupt when the next day came. I must every day have fresh grace from heaven, and I obtain it only in direct waiting upon God Himself.
