Book of Church Growth

Various Church Growth Programs by
Elmer Towns

Book of Church Growth by Elmer Towns deals with the rising number of churches. It explains how members of small and medium-sized congregations can revitalize and extend their ministries. Churches of all sizes tend to reach a saturation point in terms of attendance and never breakthrough their self-imposed ‘growth barriers.’ This book provides step-by-step directions for breaking down those barriers and achieving new levels of community influence and service. Towns’ goal was to look at rising churches and to acknowledge all probable reasons for their rise. It provides some case studies of rising congregations that adhere to teachings and lifestyles that the authors oppose. Also, the contributors to this volume don’t agree on everything when it comes to church expansion. It could also be claimed that the three authors come from different church backgrounds and have differing views on particular church affairs, which do not impact the faith’s essentials.
