Like Christ

Christian Life  by
Andrew Murray

Like Christ is a devotional sequel to Abide in Christ. In his preface, noted missionary leader Andrew Murray mentions two goals in mind when writing the book.
The first goal is to show how we mirror His image in the hardships and responsibilities of daily life. The second goal is to demonstrate how, for believers, similarity to Christ is more than an ideal but a reality.
Straightforward and keen, Like Christ cuts through the misconceptions that cloud Christians’ understanding. Being like Christ is only possible abiding in Him, not through any meritorious actions but being conscious of our holy duty in fulfilling His will are all examples of Christ-likeness. We will rely on the Father as Christ did, love, pray, and use Scripture as He did, be humble, die, and rise again as He did, all the while glorifying His Father.

Indwelling of the Master

Christian Life  by
Andrew Murray

Indwelling of the Master states that we often hear about the compromised life and the question comes up What lies at the root of it? What is the reason that so many Christians are wasting their lives in the terrible bondage of the world instead of living in the manifestation and the privilege and the glory of the child of God? And another question perhaps comes to us: What can be the reason that when we see a thing is wrong and strive against it we cannot conquer it?

Deeper Christian Life

Christian Life  by
Andrew Murray

Deeper Christian Life explores that the first and chief need of our Christian life is, Fellowship with God. The Divine life within us comes from God, and is entirely dependent upon Him. As I need every moment afresh the air to breathe, as the Sun every moment afresh sends down its light, so it is only in direct living communication with God that my soul can be strong.
The manna of one day was corrupt when the next day came. I must every day have fresh grace from heaven, and I obtain it only in direct waiting upon God Himself.

School of Obedience

Christian Life  by
Andrew Murray

The School of Obedience is one of Andrew Murray’s most notable works. In less than ten chapters, the book engages a comprehensive discussion and investigates the subject of obedience in a subtle yet powerful tone. Andrew explores the living connection between Christ’s obedience and ours, highlighting the qualities of strength, effort, humility and the eternal warmth of a spirit. With a passionate tone, he casts a new light on the traditional Christian ideas to emphasize the link between obedience and spiritual well-being. The book is a profound prayer which begins with the search for truth in which Andrew invests his energy in seeking and grasping the possibility and blessedness of a spiritual journey, in the end, declaring it a necessity. The School of Obedience emphasizes on the whole-heartedness involved in obedience, underlining the unbinding path to connect with the Holy Spirit in a quest to achieve fulfillment, glory and divinity.

The Very Best of Tozer

Christian Life  by
A. W. Tozer

A man who scarcely stated a truth he didn’t glean from God, this is the best book of A. W. Tozer that compiles a fantastic quantity of writings by the author to demonstrate his gift from God. Composed of fifty-two chapters, the book represents major themes of Tozer’s works whereas each chapter offers insight, conviction and praise of God with commitment, something Tozer has come to be known for. Following a philosophy that everything is wrong until God sets it right, this book is written after mediation and prayer which possibly explains the popularity and influence that his book has. Responsibly written, this book does justice to the passion with which Tozer wrote for all who are thirsty for God. A passion that allowed him to be brave, not hesitating in exposing man’s frailties and revealing the power of God as the one who does for those who seek him.

Pursuit of God

Christian Life  by
A. W. Tozer

“How is meekness never meant weakness? How is God’s burden a lighter yoke? Is an intimate relationship with God only for the chosen few? Or is it something that every follower of Christ should experience?
Written by an educated deep thinker, this book is not for casual reading. We have to read it slowly and meditate on every word. It is a blueprint for a life closer to God to cope with problems while living on Earth. If we lived with the same pursuit as Tozer did, our lives would be different. If we improve as a person and as a church by living the message of this book, we can change the world. As we meditate through its pages, may we not only read its content but apply its essence into our lives.”

Prayer of Jabez by Charles H. Spurgeon

Prayer Books

The Prayer of Jabez reveals how to make praying the Jabez prayer a lifetime habit. Readers will broaden their understanding of the four components of the Jabez prayer (“bless me; enlarge my borders; keep Your hand upon me; keep me from evil”) by investigating key scriptural passages and learning how to apply them to their lives. And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
