Thou anointest our beaches with oil

June 20, 2010 By Richard A. Volunteer

We have gone from begging God for a Detroit bailout to now wanting the Gulfs Oil Tap of “blessing” turned off.

RESOLUTION
To recognise and declare Sunday, June 20, 2010, as a Statewide Day of Prayer for Louisiana and for the population and region surrounding the Gulf of Mexico, in particular, those people affected by the environmental and economic disasters that erupted in the aftermath of BP Deepwater Horizon oil leak.
WHEREAS, in times of great distress and need, we, the people of this land, have always turned to private, public, and corporate prayer; and
WHEREAS, a Statewide Day of Prayer provides each of us with a powerful
opportunity to humble ourselves before our Almighty God; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Louisiana are urged to pray for a solution to this crisis, each according to his or her own faith, to pray for God’s continued guidance and protection, and to join in the observance of a day of prayer, seeking God’s blessings upon both our state and nation; and
WHEREAS, untold millions of people, not only in regions surrounding the Gulf of Mexico but throughout the world, will be affected by this event; a crisis that remains unaffected by the efforts of mortal man; and
WHEREAS, we now turn our attention and our prayers to the present circumstances and humble ourselves before Almighty God.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby appoint Sunday, June 20, 2010, as a Statewide Day of Prayer for Louisiana and for the population and region surrounding the Gulf of Mexico.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Senate of Legislature of Louisiana does
hereby urge the citizenry of the state and all people of faith throughout the United States and the world to give personal thanks, each according to his faith, for the blessings we have received, for God’s continued guidance during these trying times, and for God’s grace to bring an end to the devastation.

  • To whom are we praying? The God of Creation, the Holy One of Israel, was driven from our schools long ago, and prayer was made illegal in good times. Why should He hear in bad times?
  • This is no Act of God. We did this.  We are responsible. Our own greed cut the corners of safety and ignored the alarms of caution. We are only reaping what we sowed.
  • This is the anointing,  our prosperity theology has brought upon us. We have anointed ourselves with oil.

Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.

And if our Father allowed the drowning of  His innocent and obedient birds in oil, where will the wicked and the rebellious stand?

Haiti Earthquake, Christians and “Acts of God

January 25, 2010 By Richard A. Volunteer

We will serve you, if you’ll get us free from the French. And so, the devil said, okay it’s a deal” The so-called deal with the devil to which Robertson refers is the Haitian Revolution (1791-1804).

Nobody taught more about judgment and Hell than Jesus. Most of His condemnation and Woes were directed to the arrogant religious leaders of His day. Pat Robertson today showed the world why!

Jesus did comment on natural disasters  – Luke 13 v 4 Or those eighteen upon whom the tower of Siloam fell and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all other men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, NO! Pat, but unless ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”

Once again an unbelieving world has another reason to remain convinced the God of Pat Robertson has nothing for them, or suffering Haitians for that matter either.

The issue is not whether God did, or did not,  bring about this “Act of God.” The issue is that this self appointed media hound bringing disgrace, disrespect and dishonour to the Holy One of Israel, by imputing Pat Robertson’s bigotry and warped theological ignorance on the very God, Pat claims to serve.

Last I recall – God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked Ez 18 v 32 “For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declares the Lord GOD. “Therefore, repent and live.”

The Holy One of Israel once asked a Pat Robertson ‘wanna-be” in Jonah 4v 11 – and I, should not I have pity on Nineveh, the great city, wherein are more than a hundred and twenty thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

Seems God actually considered the lives of their cattle important?

No man or preacher dare condemn or comment on or judge anyone – until he like Jesus has first prayed for, and then wept over, the very people who have chosen a course that will collide with Gods justice. In Him Mercy meets Justice. Like the tears of Jeremiah and Isaiah – Nobody weeps more than God, as He pleads His case page after page.

Luke 19 v 41 And when Jesus was come near, He beheld the city, and He wept over it, v 42 Saying, If you had known, even you, at least in this your day, the things which belong to your peace! But now they are hid from your eyes…..For disaster is coming.

Perhaps we can all pray that Pat Robertson finds a God that will weep over him, and offer him mercy, before he gets the justice, he so quickly decides Haitians deserved.

No wonder the prayer of all the world is “God save me from your followers”

Trumpets 2009 – A year of Earthquakes

October 2, 2009 By Richard A. Volunteer

We saw 777 on the Feast of Trumpets on Sept – October 2008 announce the year of Financial Failure and Financial Bailout.

This is the anniversary week of that event and we in the past week there have been at least eight substantial earthquakes, three typhoons, and one tsunami — all heralding in a new year.

Three major earthquakes struck 15 minutes apart Thursday morning near the Solomon Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Quakes near Solomon Islands measure at 7.8 and 7.3 and 7.1.
Tsunami warning, watch issued for parts of Pacific; Hawaii under advisory toll from Indonesian quake hits 777. A government official tells The Associated Press that at least 777 people are confirmed to have died when two quakes struck.

Another Super Typhoon Philippines – Filipinos braced Friday to be whipped by powerful winds and pelted with rain from a 22nd-secondtyphoon in eight days, fleeing by the tens of thousands from low-lying areas and suspending cleanup operations in the still-flooded capital.Japan -Typhoon Melor struck south-west of Tokyo on the main island of Honshu, flooding roads, uprooting trees, and ripping roofs from houses shutting down auto production. One year later: Observers assess recovery since one-day 777 point drop of Dow Jones.  Last year was the year of financial meltdown as heralded on the Feast of Trumpets. “Once large numbers of people act irrationally, anything can happen,” the German official said. The stock market crashed a year ago; the Dow Jones industrial average shed 777 points on Sept. 29, 2008, the biggest one-day point decline ever of 7% on the S+P500. The drop came after the House of Representatives voted down a $700 billion bank bailout plan.

Jerusalem – A cup of Trembling?

January 18, 2006 By Richard A. Volunteer

How does a little country so dominate the news? Barely 7 million citizens. The leaders of Russia and France and Germany and England would not get the coverage Sharon got. Peace is paused as we await a man as forceful and credible to carry out the Middle East Roadmap.

Who protects Israel when the U.N. has a day of Solidarity, for the Palestinians with a map that omits Israel. Who sides with Israel when Iran wants nukes to “wipe them off the map!”

What do these major record-setting events have in common?

Nine of the ten costliest insurance events in U.S. history
Six of the seven costliest hurricanes in U.S. history
Three of the four largest tornado outbreaks in U.S. history
Nine of the top ten natural disasters in U.S. history ranked by FEMA relief costs
The two largest terrorism events in U.S. history

All of these major catastrophes transpired on the very same day or within 24-hours of U.S. presidents Bush, Clinton and Bush applying pressure on Israel to trade her land for promises of “peace and security.” We can correlate the USA sponsoring major “land for peace” meetings, making major public statements pertaining to Israel’s covenant land and/or calling for a Palestinian state, to these disastrous events. Hurricane Katrina got her name the day after the 9th of AV when Israelis were evicted from Gaza. Thousands homeless there – Hundreds of Thousands homeless here.

Are each one of these major record-setting events just a coincidence, or awe-inspiring signs that God is actively involved in the affairs of Israel?

In this book, Bill Koenig provides undeniable facts and conclusive evidence showing that indeed the leaders of the United States and the world are on a collision course with God over Israel’s covenant land.

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.” -Zechariah 12:9
