A biblical work; Practical Exposition of the Lord’s Prayer is an exegetical work by Thomas Manton that is considered a real blessing for the soul by many. It examines the divine matter and order of the Lord’s Prayer that is admirable and essentially external and composed wisdom of God, dictating it to his disciples. The book encourages arguments and regular petitions to inspire hope. The book takes into consideration the gracious nature of God that is inclined towards granting our requests, directing us to call upon him, specifically by the title ‘Our Father in heaven’ to address his love and power, and his attention to raising our affections and our confidence. The author further explains that the connectivity between our happiness and the glory of God. He concludes that our desires are to be directed towards the good things that conduct us and not the evils that obstruct this happiness.
