Mind – Cognizant – Covenant – Commitment
We stay loyal, we are faithful, our words match our deeds.
We agree to a contract and we understand what that means. Israel, at Mount Sinai, said: All the Lord asked we will do.
This is what makes our promises reality.
It is words that speak boldly of intention
And actions that speak louder than words.
Passion is the motivational force – From the Heart – It Drives and Draws Us
If all we have is passion and no commitment or emotional knowledge of each other, that is an affair, selfish and temporary.
The relationship between a man and a wife is the relationship our creator desires.
There Are Three Sides of A Relationship –
Lets look what Can Go Wrong! – It’s Similar To A Marriage
Rev 2:4 …You have left your first love.
There is no passion, no strong Commitment. What happened to “Until death do us part”?
Knowledge told the Pharisees how to worship and they did it RIGHT, with as much passion as a whited tomb.
Rev 3:16So because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Here the relationship has declined to best buddies; they are pretty sure they are okay with the Big Guy upstairs…they know a few scriptures and not too excited about anything
Then there are the red hot Christians!
They’re all fired up with no where to go — Huge passion based on no knowledge of their spouse, His desires. Here they chase false doctrines and lack commitment in tough times to stay on course.
God wants Body Soul and Mind. 100% participation with passion governed by reason.
- Truth without emotion produces the dead orthodoxy of artificial admirers who write generic anniversary cards.
- Emotion without truth produces empty frenzy who refuse the discipline of rigorous thought.
- Tue worship comes from deeply emotional who love deep and sound doctrine. Strong affections to God grounded in truth.
God gave us the Temple and described all its functions as a role model for us. We approached to worship, the Holy of Holies representing the very presence of God.
We approached and offer a sin offering showing repentance.
We are washedand we entered the temple itself so they may not die.
We put on white raiment.
The Holy Place: candlestick, table of showbread, altar of incense.
As we stand in the Holy Place.
We stand at the Candlestick – Representing the 7 aspects of the Spirit of God the HS. By its light we are led into knowledge of God. So the Holy Spirit leads us to know God and we increase in knowledge and awe of God. He will teach you all things.
We eat of the showbread – As we eat of the bread of the word our covenant, our commitment, with Him deepens as we sit and dine.
We can offer up the prayers of incense to God – Now guided by knowledge, and our commitment to please Him more.
Psalm 141:2 May my prayer be counted as incense, as the evening offering.
Rev 5:8-9 The bowl of incense … is the prayers of the saints. … Now we worship in prayer.
Subject of prayer is another day.
